Code of Conduct

Counselors & Chaperons will inspect the rooms every evening between 9:00 and 9:30. Counselors will scan students’ barcodes if they pass the inspection. If it fails, the room needs to be reinspected.

  1. Once the study hall ends, you can have free time until the room check. During this period, you are welcome to explore the campus within its boundaries; however, leaving the premises or visiting other dorm buildings is prohibited. Following the 9 pm room check, you are allowed to stay in the lounges, restrooms, and laundry room in your building, but exiting the building is strictly prohibited.
  2. Morning reporting time is at 6:50 AM in the dorm’s lounge area, where students and staff will gather before proceeding to the cafeteria together.
  3. Wear your name tags at ALL TIMES. The name tag will contain emergency contact information. 
  4. Speak English only
  5. Show respect for counselors, mentors, chaperons, ENC staff, and each other at all times.

  3.  Third Strike: Disciplinary Committee to consider dismissal from the program

Dormitory

  • Your dorm building:
    • Spange Hall, Young Apartment, Memorial Hall
    • Camp Counselor’s room: Joshua (Memorial 129), Sunny (SP 259), Farrah (SP 273)
    • Laundry Time: A specific block of time on a specific day will be assigned to each room to do laundry.
    • Check if the laundry is available. (laundry.enc.edu)

    • Detergent: Chaperons will keep detergent packets to be given out during the allotted time.
    • Please do not use more than instructed for it may clog and damage the washers.
  • Conduct/ Lifestyle:
    • There will be absolutely no drugs, smoking, or drinking on the ENC campus.
    • Please respect the university’s property and other residents in the dormitories.
  • Keys & Access Card :
    • Students will be given a key for their own rooms, but only the chaperons and the counselors will have access to the card required to enter the building. This means that no one is allowed to leave the building without the accompaniment of a counselor or a chaperone.
    • Lost key – $100, lost card $50
  • Room Assignments:
    • Students are not allowed to switch or move rooms.

  • ENC Dining: You will have breakfast and dinner at Seasons, in the Student Center. 
    • Students will be responsible  for their own healthy food choices.
    • Please make sure to include fruits and vegetables in each meal, and enough  water to keep hydrated.  
  • Dining hours : 
    • Breakfast: 7:00-8:00 am 
    • Dinner 5:00-7:00 pm 

 

  • Toiletries: Students will bring their own toiletries.  
  • Linens: ENC will provide a bag of linens, which contains a pillow, a pillowcase, a blanket,  bed sheets, and towels.  
  • Other items: Trash bins, trash bags, toilet paper, and tissue will be provided.
